James E. “JR” Riordan, age 53, of Eagle Rock, Missouri
James E. “JR” Riordan, age 53, of Eagle Rock, Missouri (former resident of Chicago, Illinois) passed away suddenly, 5 July, 2023. He is the beloved son of the late; Rosemary (nee Cicero) Riordan.
He is survived by his Loving Companion Diana Baughman; their cats, Lokee, Tiger, Little Bit, OG (Our Original Gangster) and Mr. Whiskers; Diana’s children, Joseph Pearce (Roxanne), Jessica Gabriel (Seth) and Jennifer Epperson (Andrew); ten grandchildren; sister Beverlee (John) Viggiano; brother Anthony and loving neighbor, Terri Henry.
He was preceded in death by his sisters Sandra and Joy Riordan.
Jimmy was the proud uncle of four; Donald Viggiano, Frank (Sandra) Viggiano, Stephanie (Nicholas) Blidy and the late Christopher Viggiano, Sr. Great-Uncle of six; Michael (Tiffany Adams) Viggiano, Rose, Nathaniel, Harley Joy Viggiano-Roman, Christopher Jr., and Hudson Viggiano. Great-great Uncle of Trenton Viggiano. Jimmy was especially proud to be Godfather of Stephanie. Jimmy is the grandson of the late Philip & Frances Cicero, Lorraine (Herman) Jurgens; nephew of Victoria (the late Bill West) Cicero & William (Florence) Cicero, Robert Bobich; and the late Joan (Joe) Rubino, Phyllis (Bill Miarka) Kishkunas, Steve Cicero, Frances Bobich. He is a special cousin and 2nd cousin to many.
Jimmy's passion was fishing and the greater outdoors. He was always outside working with trees, flowers and plants when he & Diana were not fishing. Jimmy enjoyed bonfires, barbeques and fireworks. He loved animals and mostly his family of cats. He never passed up a stray cat to give a home to.
Jimmy will be dearly missed by Diana, his cats, his family in Illinois and family he made when he moved to Missouri.
Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
