James “Jim” Leroy Keeney, age 70, of Branson, Missouri.

James “Jim” Leroy Keeney, age 70, of Branson, Missouri, passed away December 11, 2021. He entered this life on December 30, 1950, in Chillicothe, Missouri, the son of Loretta Joan (Ralls) Anderson and James Oliver Keeney. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his son-in-law, Curtis Lowe. He was joined in marriage on April 21, 1972, to Robin Allnutt.

Proudly serving our country, Jim became a specialist in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was honored to be a veteran and it showed. Jim loved tinkering in the garage while fixing the cars he had bought and would later sell. He was an avid fan of the following 60s music, traveling the countryside, and teasing his wife. Jim appreciated his time with friends drinking coffee at the farmhouse and his favorite time of the year, Christmas, because it brought the joys of spending time with his family. He lived for his children and grandchildren, leaving them a lasting legacy.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Robin Keeney; daughter, Jennifer Anderson of Kansas City, Missouri; son, Jay (Faith) Keeney of Chillicothe, Missouri; daughter, Melanie Keeney of Branson, Missouri; daughter, Holly (Ryan) Spears of Blue Springs, Missouri; son, Michael (Kayla) Keeney of Branson, Missouri; and daughter, Casey Lowe of Branson, Missouri. He is also survived by his mother, Joan Anderson of Chillicothe, Missouri; two sisters: Pam Thieme and Bobbi Jo Venneman of Chillicothe, Missouri; twelve grandchildren: Dakota Keeney, Caitlin Anderson, Brandon Anderson, Tristen Keeney, Parker Keeney, Cheyenne Jordan, Toni Surritte, Luke Haynes, Anthony Spears, Abigail Spears, Gracie Lowe, and Evelyn Keeney; four great-grandchildren; three nieces; and two nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday December 17, 2021, at Cremations of the Ozarks, 115 Industrial Park Dr., Hollister, Missouri 65672. Inurnment with full military honors will be held 9:00 a.m. Monday December 20, 2021, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S Southwood Rd, Springfield, MO 65804.
