JC Henry, age 92, of Washburn, Missouri.

JC Henry, age 92, of Washburn, Missouri, passed away at home surrounded by family on Saturday, December 7, 2024.

He was born to Reams and Ruby Jane (Brake) Henry on August 3, 1932 on OK Ridge in Washburn. Surviving are his children: son, Jerry (Kathy) of Washburn; daughter, Jane (Erwin) Harp of Washburn; brother, Harvey (Martha) of Cassville; grandsons, Shane Henry of Pineville, Cody (Tyler) Hobbs of Seligman, Garrett (Lexie) Hobbs of Seligman, Robert (Allison) Randall of Exeter, and Jay Henry of Washburn; granddaughters, Missy Henry of Pineville, Melinda Henry of Pineville, Christina (Matt) Sutherland of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Robin Sutherland of Tulsa, Dayna Sutherland of Rogers, Stacy (Roper) Hayward of Fairview, Kelsey Henry of Kernersville, North Carolina, Aleesa Randall of Washburn, and Jerri Lynn Henry (Nathaniel) Acton of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and numerous great grandkids, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Reams and Ruby Jane (Brake); brother, Ronald Gene Henry; sisters, Maggie Fielding, Mary Brandt, and Katie Hendrix and son, Randy Henry.

JC lived the majority of his life at his farm on Greasy Creek Road, leaving only to serve his country in the United States Army from 1954 to 1955. Throughout his life, he was a dairy farmer, a school bus driver, a friend, and a real, true cowboy. He enjoyed riding his horse ‘Buck’ whenever and wherever he could, frequently riding down at Flag Springs, around town, on numerous trail rides, and daily around the farm. JC loved people, talked to everyone, never met a stranger, and enjoyed daily coffee with his friends at the local café.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 13, 2024 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the OK Schoolhouse in memory of JC.
