Jeffery “Jeff” Tate Combs
Jeffery “Jeff” Tate Combs, went to his eternal home in the loving arms of Jesus on August 24, 2024.
Jeff was born on September 30, 1957, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Tate and Katie Combs. He graduated from Branson High School in 1975 after moving to the Branson area with his family to run and own the Stop and Shop Store in Hollister.
Jeff was an incredible man and child of God who gave unconditionally in many facets of his life, especially his love and giving. It was his heart’s desire for those he loved and cared for, as well as many strangers, to share Christ and his Gospel. In his early years Jeff ministered to many when he was a vocational pastor in Joplin, Missouri; Quitman, Arkansas; and Branson, Missouri.
Jeff had a heart to love and teach both children and adults with special needs. Most recently Jeff drove a school bus for the Hollister School District, where he transported pre-school children with special needs. He served Hollister School District for 22 years.
Jeff was also a member of Road Riders for Jesus, a motorcycle ministry where he was blessed to do some of his favorite things: ride his motorcycle and tell others of Jesus.
Jeff is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Cindy; two daughters: Mandi (Angela) and Sarah. With his marriage to Cindy, he gained two bonus children: Nicole and Rick (Ashley) Williams. He had four grandchildren whom he loved and cherished: Julie, Hope, Ricky, and Jonathan. One brother, Mike (Mary Lou) Combs and their children: Jacob (Emalee), Katie, and Logan; along with many beloved FAMILY and treasured FRIENDS.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents: Tate and Katie (Norman) Combs.
Jeff’s graduation service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Grace Community Assembly, 3101 Gretna Rd, Branson, Missouri.
