Jeffrey Alan Smith, age 62, of Aurora, Missouri

Jeffrey Alan Smith, age 62, of Aurora, Missouri passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at his home.

            He was born March 6, 1959 in Corpus Christi, Texas, the son of Wilma Patton.  On October 26, 1991 he was united in marriage to Lisa Williams, who survives.  Also surviving are one daughter, Lindsey Marie Smith of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three brothers, Michael Hartkopf of Aurora, Missouri, Stacey Hartkopf of Aurora, Missouri and Brian Hartkopf of Purdy, Missouri.

            Preceding him in death was his mother.

            In 1978 he graduated from Aurora High School.  After graduating he moved to Texas and Oklahoma.  While in Oklahoma he was employed as a supervisor at Liberty Glass in Sapulpa and later owned and operated Alan’s Custom Sound.  It was here that he met and married Lisa.  Upon returning to Missouri in 2006, he was employed by George’s Incorporated in the maintenance department from where he retired in 2020.  He enjoyed gardening, and would can his surplus vegetables to sell at the farmers market in Cassville.  He loved the outdoors and fishing.

            Private services will be held at a later date.  Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
