Jennifer Lynn Emerick, age 55, of Seymour, Missouri.

Jennifer Lynn Emerick, age 55, of Seymour, Missouri, passed away on March 31, 2025. She entered this life on June 15, 1969, in Springfield, Missouri, the daughter of Dennis Hume and Linda (Cook) Shanks.

With a care for others, Jennifer worked as a med technician serving those who were in need of healthcare. She adored taking care of others and watching survival shows. Jennifer enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time at the casinos. She was great fan of Elvis Presley and loved her cat, “Miss Kitty.” Jennifer’s world was her grandkids, and the memories created will be cherished and never forgotten.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Hume; mother and stepfather: Linda and David Shanks; nephew, Shawn Hume; cousin, Michael Hume; and aunt, Letha Hume.

Jennifer is survived by her three daughters: Kortney (Chad) Laughlin, Kelsey (Cody) Mincks, and Kaley Emerick, all of Seymour, Missouri; five grandchildren: Jayden Hume, Addi Emerick, Wyatt Laughlin, Zoie Williams, and Jenna Emerick; father of the girls, Larry Emerick; brother, Darren Hume; sister-in-law, Sherlyn Hume; nephew, Darren Hume; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Marshfield Christian Church, 1061 State Hwy A, Marshfield, Missouri, with Jacquelin Cook officiating.
