Jerry William Helms, age 81, of Hollister, Missouri.

Jerry William Helms, age 81, of Hollister, Missouri, passed away November 30, 2021. He entered this life on September 21, 1940, the son of Claude and Goldie (Jarvis) Helms in Ellis Grove, Illinois. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Robert Helms and Calvin Helms; sister-in-law, Marlene Helms; niece, Lori Helms; and nephew, Bobby Helms.

Being a very active person, Jerry enjoyed fishing, tinkering in the woodshop, playing pickle ball, watching Razorback football, going out to eat, and eating Mickey Mouse ice cream bars (Mickey Mouse of course). After graduating Herculaneum High School, Jerry went on to create beautiful cabinetry and owning his own business. He treasured time spent with family, including his grandpup, “Buddy” whom he shared more than half of his ice cream bars with anytime he would indulge. The memories that Jerry created with his loved ones will always be carried dearly within their hearts.

He is survived in death by daughters: Tammy Lee Helms of Hollister, Missouri, and Brandy Schackmann of Festus, Missouri; sons: Chris Helms of Branson, Missouri, and Jeremy Helms of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers: Larry (Barb) Helms of Pevely, Missouri, and Stan (Linda) Helms of Herculaneum, Missouri; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. December 12, 2021, at Herculaneum Cemetery followed by a celebration of life from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. for friends and family at Stan and Linda Helms' home at 1314 Scenic drive in Herky, Missouri.
