John Arthur Albro

John Arthur Albro, age 92,

John Arthur Albro, age 92, passed from this earth to his Father’s heavenly kingdom on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. He was born October 2, 1930, on the family farm near Mansfield, Ohio, to Frank and Clemence May Albro.  John was one of seven children. He helped his father on the farm using horses until his father bought a tractor in 1941. In 1947, John moved to Kansas to work on his cousin’s cattle ranch; he loved being a cowboy and even rode in the local rodeo. After leaving the ranch life, he worked various jobs until landing a job at a lumber company as a cabinet maker. John eventually ended up living in Colorado Springs, Colorado, working for Crissey-Fowler Lumber Company, where he expanded his cabinet making skills. In 1965, he opened The Pines Campground in Monument, Colorado, located north of Colorado Springs, then opened Northpark Millwork, a custom cabinet shop. John was a Master Cabinet Maker. He loved collecting John Deere memorabilia, reading his Bible and western novels, camping, hunting in his younger years, making furniture and craft items, and maintaining a beautiful home and yard.

John married Sharon Presley in 1987; they were married 36 years. They loved to travel in their fifth-wheel camper, traveling around the entire United States including driving the ALCAN highway to Alaska. They lived for many years in Mesa, Arizona, then moved to Branson, Missouri, in 2003, after discovering the Ozarks along their many journeys. They loved the variety of activities available in Branson and took advantage of the many shows and other entertainment venues.

John is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sharon; two daughters, Karen and Rebecca; three stepchildren: Kurtis, Kristie and Kary; brother, James; sister, Shirley; eight grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his sisters: Betty Albro, Alice Maglott, Mary Snider, and Helen McClellan. John always had a smile on his face, and he never met a stranger. He was proud to publicly declare Jesus as his Lord and Savior and was a kind and generous man.

There are no former services at this time. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.cremationsoftheozarks.com.
