John Marshall Overby, age 65, of Walnut Shade, Missouri.
John Marshall Overby, age 65, of Walnut Shade, Missouri, passed away June 27, 2022, at his home. He entered this life February 9, 1957, in Roxboro, North Carolina, the son of Fenton and Edna (Wilborn) Overby. His parents have preceded him in death.
With his beard and hair flowing in the wind, John could be found riding his motorcycle up the road. He had a huge work ethic as he labored many years as a welder. John always had projects around his property, whether it was rebuilding Corvair cars or starting something from scratch. John always had an answer when asked a question as a very knowledgeable man. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. His presence will be greatly missed.
John is survived by his son, Brandon Overby of Roxboro, North Carolina; daughter, Brittany Overby of Roxboro, North Carolina; three sisters: Kathie (David) Talley of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Lavon (Ronald) Perkins of Timberlake, North Carolina, and Nancy (Dennis Thompson) Dukes of Roxboro, North Carolina; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
