John Robert “Bo” James, age 68, of Cassville, MO

John Robert “Bo” James, age 68, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

He was born January 9, 1953 in Springfield, Missouri, the son of John Edward and Bobbie (Dyer) James.  On October 19, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma he was united in marriage to Linda Stinecipher, who survives.  Also surviving are two step daughters, Rachael Damiani and her husband Patrick of Huntsville, Alabama and Rebecca Kay of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two adopted children, Benjamin John James of Provo, Utah and Kristen Vallen and her husband Jake of Saratoga Springs Utah; one brother, Don James and his wife Mary Lee of Grain Valley, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Sarah, Josephine, Jacob, Briar, Jay, Harper, Liam and Matthew; one nephew, Ryan James and his wife Jessi of St. Louis, Missouri; one aunt, Billie Denton of Shawnee, Kansas and cousins Ralph Denton, Wylie Denton and Mark Denton all of the Kansas City area.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a cousin, Jim Denton.

Bo moved from Willow Springs, Missouri to Cassville with his family in 1963.  He attended school in Cassville where he graduated from Cassville High School in 1971.  After attending the University of Missouri in Columbia he worked with his father at James & Sons Auto in Cassville.  Later he managed O’Reilly Auto Parts and then managed the parts department at Les Jacobs Ford.  After retiring he started NuTech Lures where he invented and had patents in the fishing industry and was an avid fisherman.   Most of all he loved being with his family.  He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 16, 2021 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.  Branch President Ira Brookes will conduct the services.  Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

Contributions may be made to the Cassville High School Fishing Team in memory of Bo James through Freedom Bank, Attn: Kelly Mills PO Box 309 Cassville, MO 65625.  Checks should be made payable to Cassville High School and include “Fishing Team” in the memo.
