Karen Lynn Sloan, age 61, of Cassville, Missouri

            Karen Lynn Sloan, age 61, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at her home.

            She was born November 11, 1961 in Jennings, Missouri the daughter of Charles and Thelma (Walter) Shanks.

            Preceding her in death were her husband, Ken Sloan; her mother, Thelma Shanks and a daughter, Jessica Lightner.

            Surviving are five sons, Josh Letner of Cassville, Missouri, Joseph Shanks of Jefferson City, Missouri, Jason Shanks of Springfield, Missouri, Jonathon Letner and his wife Christina of Walnut Grove, Missouri and Jeremy Letner and his wife Sasha of Springfield, Missouri; one brother, Johnny Shanks of St. Louis, Missouri; one sister, Sharon McFarland and her husband Steve of St. Louis, Missouri; eleven grandchildren with one great-grandchild on the way and several nieces and nephews.

            Karen graduated from North Technical High School in Florissant, Missouri and later attained her CNA license, working in several hospitals in Missouri. She loved to help people but most of all she loved her family.

            Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri.
