Kenneth Eugene Sherman, age 86, of Eagle Rock, Missouri.
Kenneth Eugene Sherman, age 86, of Eagle Rock, Missouri passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on November 3, 1935 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, the son of William “Bill” and Mary (Beck) Sherman. On May 14, 1960 in San Bernadino, California, he was united in marriage to Darlene Robbins.
After school, he joined the United States Navy in 1957, where he was part of Operation "Hardtack" in Bikini Atoll. After leaving the Navy in 1961, he owned his own welding shop in Exeter, Missouri. He also worked for Reeds Spring Rock Quarry, EFCO, and Wells Aluminum, where he retired after twenty plus years. After retiring Kenneth enjoyed spending his time in his boat on the lake fishing as much as he could.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 61 years, Darlene Sherman of Eagle Rock, and daughter, Lynn Howerton of Wheaton, Missouri. Pa is also survived by his three grandchildren, Joshua Sherman and his wife Amanda of Owasso, Oklahoma, Jennifer Gouldsmith and her husband Matthew of Rose Hill, Kansas, and Caitlin Lowe and her husband Dillon of Purdy, Missouri. He is also survived by his eight great grandchildren, with one on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and three brothers.
No services are scheduled at this time. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
