Kirk Collings Richardson

Kirk Collings Richardson, age 78, of Branson West, Missouri.

Kirk Collings Richardson, age 78, of Branson West, Missouri, passed away March 14, 2025. He entered this life on December 9, 1946, raised by stepfather, P.J. and Martha (Kirk) Buckley in Falls City, Nebraska. Kirk was joined in marriage to Linda Sue Drake on June 3, 1989, in Omaha, Nebraska.

Kirk proudly served our country in the United States Air Force and in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was awarded with National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Small Arms Expert Marksmanship. During Kirk’s working years, he was an over-the-road trucker for his parents trucking company; on the police force in Omaha, Nebraska; a corrections officer with the Douglas County Corrections in Omaha, Nebraska; and retired from Transportation Security Administration (TSA). After retiring, Linda and Kirk moved to Branson West into a beautiful log cabin home.

With a compassionate heart, Kirk was one of the main advocates for the Stone County Disability Boards and Chances Organization for his autistic son. He enjoyed fishing for trout, taking his boat out on Taneycomo Lake, discussing politics, and watching Fox News. More than anything, Kirk loved spending time with his wife, Linda. The memories and moments created throughout his life will be cherished by all who knew him.

Kirk is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Linda Richardson of Branson West, Missouri; his children: Lisa (Jim) Cawthra of Minnesota, David Richardson of Branson, Missouri, Jeanne Mauseth of Omaha, Nebraska, and Susan Richardson of Fremont, Nebraska; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and brother, Mark (Anna) Richardson of Idaho. He is also survived by his dogs: Coco and Pixie and cats: Angel, Topsy, and Camo.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday March 25, 2025, at Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Rd, Springfield, Missouri.
