Memorial services for Kristine L. Waggoner, 73, Forsyth will be held Friday, August 16, 2024, 6PM, at First Baptist Church Forsyth, MO. Mrs. Waggoner went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, in Forsyth, MO. Pastor Steven Young will officiate. The burial will be held later at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Mo. Services are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth, MO.
Kristine was born November 21, 1950, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the daughter of Konrad and Eileen (Batton) Scherer. She had graduated from Rancho Cordova High School in Rancho Cordova, Calif. Kristine enlisted with the United States Air Force of which she served seven years and was one of the first 6 female MP's in the Air Force. She was very proud of her service to the nation. After the service she was employed with the Alaska State Troopers as a dispatcher. She always had a job whether with the previously mentioned occupations or working at a pet supply store in Alaska and then in California as a child supporter in the Division of Child Services.
Kristine moved to Forsyth, MO. from Sacramento, Calif to be closer to family. She attended First Baptist Church, Forsyth, where she was active with the Quilt and Bible Study groups. Kristine showed dogs at competitions in Alaska. Her greatest love beside the Lord was her family especially, her two loving granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Kristine Waggoner is survived by her two children Scott Helm (Callie Latimer) of Killeen, Texas; Suzanne Landry (Bobby) of Protem, MO.; brother Ken Scherer (Jenny) of Cleveland Ohio, sister Sharon Whichman (Mark) of Calif. and two granddaughters. She will also be missed by numerous family and friends.
