Larry John Allen, age 73, of Eureka Springs, Arkansas

             Larry John Allen, age 73, of Eureka Springs, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at his home.

            He was born December 22, 1950 in Great Bend, Kansas the son of Arlis John and Faye (Stiles) Allen. On April 28, 2023 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas he was united in marriage to Patricia Wright, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Amanda Faye Allen of Cassville, Missouri; one stepdaughter, Teresa McMillan and her husband Bryan of Omaha, Arkansas; one stepson, Rickey Salkil and his fiancée Taylor Baswell of Springfield, Missouri; one brother, Gary Lee Allen and his wife Pam of Cassville, Missouri; one sister, Janet Sue Allen Goforth of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Rainey Reed, Layne Stubbs, Harley Stubbs, Skylar Phenicie and her husband Austin, Alex McMillan, Wyatt Salkil and Wayde Salkil and one great grandchild, Waylon Phenicie.

            Preceding him in death were his parents, Arlis John Allen and Faye (Stiles) Allen Farwell; his stepfather, Wayne Farwell; his older brother, Jerry Duane Allen and his sister-in-law, Janice (Williams) Allen.

            Larry attended school in Cassville, Missouri graduating from Cassville High School in 1969. He was a retired teamster, working in construction building highways. He enjoyed hunting, fishing especially and spending time outdoors, but more than anything he loved his family and spending time with them.

            Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at McGuire Cemetery in Shell Knob, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Brother Wayne Writer will conduct the services.

            The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 P.M. Monday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
