Larry Paul Varner, age 78, of Washburn, Missouri.

Larry Paul Varner, age 78, of Washburn, Missouri passed away Friday, July 8, 2022 at his home.

He was born May 16, 1944 in Cassville, Missouri, he was the son of Paul Brooks Varner and Lois (Weston) Varner. On January 2, 1965 in Galena, Missouri he was united in marriage to Alice Faye Brattin, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Jerry Varner and his wife Angie of Washburn, Missouri and Terrell Varner and his wife Tonya of Cassville, Missouri; one daughter, Cheryl Garrett of Gravette, Arkansas; two brothers, Tim Varner and his wife Jo of Washburn, Missouri and Jack Varner and his wife Janice of Washburn, Missouri; one sister, Nancy Madison and her husband Johnny of Springfield, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Alexandria Hesse, Chantel Martin, Adrienne Hesse, Matthew Price, Gary Varner, Greg Varner, Wyatt Varner, Payton Varner and Grant Varner and two great grandchildren, Demi Varner and Henry Varner.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Larry grew up and attended school in Washburn, Missouri graduating from Southwest High School in 1962. After graduating he worked various jobs. He was then employed by Roller Nursery in Washburn for twenty years. He also raised poultry and beef cattle all of his life. He enjoyed family time and telling stories. He was a charter member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Washburn, under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Brother Ray Holland, Brother Richard Jones and Brother Ronnie Wilson will conduct the services. Burial will be at Washburn Prairie Cemetery in Washburn.
