Lee Shepherd, age 64, of Purdy, Missouri passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024 at his home.
He was born September 15, 1960 in Cassville, Missouri the son of Jim and Willodean (Swaffar) Shepherd. On July 21, 2000 in Purdy, Missouri he was united in marriage to Chris Harris, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Josh Wiseman and his wife Kanisha of Cassville, Missouri, Andy Shepherd and his wife Rebecca of Ozark, Missouri, Jonathan Shepherd of Monett, Missouri; one daughter, Jessica Williams and her husband Curtis of Marshfield, Missouri; 12 grandchildren, Haeven, Roper, Brylee, Jaycee, Brinley, Chance, Kayin, Brock, Jackson, Clay, Owen, Noah, and one on the way, Houston, and a host of family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Eddie Shepherd and Craig Fellenstein; two grandchildren, Kolter and Cheyenne, and in-laws, Fred and Beverly Harris.
Lee attended school in Cassville, graduating from Cassville High School in 1978 and then earned his Bachelor Degree in Business Management from College of the Ozarks. He owned and operated Shepherd Truck Lines for 35 years and retired in 2023. He was a very hard-working truck driver, farmer, husband, dad, papa, uncle and babysitter for his precious grandbabies. He enjoyed hunting and fishing while teaching his grandkids what it was all about. He went to all of the sporting events that his grandkids participated in. He loved to cheer for them. He dearly loved being around all his grandbabies. He loved his family with all his heart and he will be greatly missed.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri. Pastor Jerry Nickle will conduct the services. Burial will be at Gunter Cemetery in Butterfield, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:00 P.M. Monday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri.
