Lillian “Jane” Mahurin, 78, of Russellville, Arkansas.
Lillian “Jane” Mahurin, 78, of Russellville, Arkansas, formerly of Washburn, Missouri, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 8, 2025, at her home, surrounded by love.
Born on July 3, 1946, in Wheaton, Missouri, Jane was the beloved daughter of Oren William and Adella Nellie (McFarland) Hines. She grew up in the Powell and Rocky Comfort area, where she cultivated the kindness and faith that would define her life.
On October 19, 1963, Jane married the love of her life, Richard Mahurin, and together they built a life filled with devotion, grace, and unwavering love. For 57 years, they shared a marriage that was a true testament to faith and commitment, raising five daughters and creating a home where love and laughter were abundant.
Jane was a woman of deep faith and quiet strength. She had a heart for serving—whether it was through her church, her community, or simply in the way she cared for those around her. Even though Jane had a 15-year battle with Parkinson’s Disease, her faith never wavered, and her gentle spirit continued to inspire.
Her greatest joy was her family. Jane cherished the memories made with her daughters: Wanda Morris (Jim) of Norfolk, VA; Sandra Cantwell (Jeff) of Neosho, MO; Nelli Dovel of Elkton, VA; and Kelli DuVall (Donnie) of Russellville, AR, along with the late Roxanne Clement. She was a proud and loving grandmother to twenty grandchildren and thirty-two great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her siblings, Leroy Hines (Jeannie) of Anderson, MO, and Helen Stephens of Rocky Comfort, MO, as well as many nieces, nephews, cherished friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts.
Jane is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Richard; her parents, Oren and Adella Hines; her siblings Benny and Raymond Hines, Sharlet Berry, and Virginia Spurgin; her precious daughter, Roxanne Mary (Josephine) Clement; and her grandson-in-law, NPD Officer Brian Jones, who gave his life in the line of duty.
Jane’s love, faith, and gentle kindness left a lasting imprint on everyone who knew her. Though she will be dearly missed, her legacy of grace and devotion will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice Home Care – Russellville for the exceptional care and kindness they provided in Jane’s final months.
Her life will be honored with a funeral service at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri. Reverend Jim Morris, Reverend Donathan DuVall and Reverend Michael Brandon will conduct the service. She will be laid to rest at Dent Cemetery, west of Washburn, Missouri. Reverend Corey Herod will conduct the graveside service.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 -7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Fohn Funeral Home.
