On December 13, 2021, Lloydine Claybrook went to Paradise to walk with the angels and sit at her Lord Jesus’ feet.
She was 73 years old and passed away while at home near Battlefield, Missouri, surrounded by family.
Born in Harrison, Arkansas, on February 4, 1948, and raised near Omaha, Arkansas, Lloydine cherished life in the Ozarks. From long nature walks to cold swims in her backyard pool, she felt most at home being outside. Although Lloydine was gifted at many things, such as photography, floral arranging and maintaining beautiful flower gardens, some of her greatest joy came from being “Mamee” to her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Nearly any discussion with Lloydine would lead to her bragging about all of them. Lloydine enjoyed teaching them about Jesus and sharing her love of Southern Gospel music with them.
More than 57 years ago, on June 20, 1964, Lloydine married her sweetheart from School of the Ozarks, Junior Ray Claybrook. Junior and Lloydine went on to have two children, whom she is survived by, Relina Hagan and husband Bob, and Tom Claybrook and wife Kim. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Seth Hagan and wife Amber, Alec Hagan and wife Katrina, and Gracie Claybrook; and one great-grandchild Sadie Hagan; her sister Mary-Lou Gilbert, and brother John Gilbert and wife Pattie; plus nieces and nephews. Lloydine was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Gilbert and Martha Gregg Gilbert Klein.
Visitation will be held from 10:30am-12:00pm Thursday, December 16, at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory in Branson, Missouri. Immediately following, will be her Celebration of Life service at 12:00pm, officiated by Lloydine’s pastor, Bob Stephenson of Graceway Baptist Church.
