Lois Ellen Petty, age 97, of Cassville, Missouri

              Lois Ellen Petty, age 97, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022 at her home.

            She was born May 19, 1925 in Cassville, Missouri the daughter of Earl and Nora (Wiseley) Shore. On December 31, 1950 in Monett, Missouri she was united in marriage to Charles “Vern” Petty, who preceded her in death on July 6, 2019. Also preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Lavern Shore and Charles Shore; one sister, Helen Lenora Shore and a half sister, Marzell Hall.

            Surviving are two daughters, Sue Hudson and her husband Tim of Cassville, Missouri and Janice Love and her husband Steve of Cassville, Missouri; one sister, Joan Harvey and her husband Raymond of Cassville, Missouri; seven grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

            Lois grew up and attended school in Cassville, Missouri graduating from Cassville High School in 1944. She was employed at the Variety Store and an insurance company in Cassville. The majority of her married life was spent as a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, scrap booking and researching family history. She was a member of Mill Street Church of Christ in Cassville.

            Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Rick Hendrix will conduct the services. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri.

            The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 P.M. Tuesday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

            Contributions may be made to Fair Haven Children’s Home in memory of Lois.
