Lola Aunzell Smith

Lola Aunzell Smith, age 92, of Cassville, Missouri.

Lola Aunzell Smith, age 92, of Cassville, Missouri passed away August 7, 2024 at the home of her caregiver.

Lola was born in Morrow, Arkansas on March 30, 1932, the daughter of Eugene Clay and Martha Lee (Brock) Cuzick. On October 29, 1949 in Morrow, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Glen H. Smith, who preceded her in death on April 16, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents; nine siblings; a son, Hal Smith; daughters-in-law, Cindy Smith and Cheryl Smith and son-in-law, Dan Dorman.

Surviving are one son, Vaughn Smith and his wife Dixie of Cassville, Missouri; one daughter, Debbie Dorman of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one brother, Aubrey Cuzick and his wife Jeanne of Farmington, Arkansas; three sisters, Mary Reed of Farmington, Arkansas, Anna Spear and her husband Randall of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Paula Cox and her husband Bud of Lincoln, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Lola grew up in Morrow, Arkansas.  She attended Morrow school and was a graduate of Morrow High School. She was employed by Bank of America for approximately 37 years, fulfilling roles as teller, customer service representative, and loan officer secretary.

Lola loved the Lord and was an active member of the First Baptist Church. Family was very important to Lola, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, and extended family.  She was a wonderful cook and regularly blessed family and friends with delicious, home-cooked meals. Lola was also an excellent seamstress.

Lola's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Tammy Starchman Frye and Compassus Hospice for their love and care for Lola. They were a source of comfort to the family and will always be remembered and appreciated.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 19, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor James Weaver will conduct the services. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri.

The family will receive friends at the visitation from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Monday, August 19, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Cassville.
