LoRita Ada Curtis, 86, of Springfield Missouri.

LoRita Ada Curtis, 86, of Springfield Missouri went to be with her Heavenly Father and was reunited with her loving husband on December 29th, 2024 on their 68th wedding anniversary.

LoRita was born to Dallas and LoLeta (Smith) Roquette on April 25th, 1938 in Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Myron (Jim) James Curtis, her high school sweetheart, on December 29th 1956.

LoRita spent many years of her marriage in the shadow of Jim’s IBM career all while creating careers of her own and raising three sons. She prided herself as being a beautician, owning her own salons as well as obtaining her pilot’s license fostering a deep enjoyment for flying.

Everywhere that LoRita went she created lifelong friendships and considered those friends part of her family. In 1973 LoRita and Jim moved to the Ozarks where they built many successful businesses together showcasing their extraordinary teamwork.

Although LoRita thrived in all of her life’s endeavors, careers, associational and club offices; where she shined most was in her radiant spirit, boundless love, and unwavering kindness which touched every life that she encountered.

LoRita took amazing care of everyone around her. Her faith in her Lord and Savior was central to her life, second only to the love she had for her family.

As the pillar of her family, she cherished her role as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She provided endless support, love, and the sweetest of memories. Her love and wisdom will always be a guiding light through life’s storms.

Even though LoRita will be deeply missed her legacy of great care and compassion will live on in her family.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband, Jim; two sons, Scott and Steven; two sisters, Vicki and Twilla; and her brother Terrill.

Survivors include her son Kevin Curtis (Misty) of Walnut Shade and a daughter Betty Wilson of Springfield. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; Angela (Matthew) Coy, Heather (Daniel) Pena, Amber Wilson, Emily (Kyle) Grider, Scott (Taylor) Curtis, Lacie (Jamison) Graham, Dallas (Jessica) Curtis, Clayton (Taylor) Curtis and Gage Curtis; along with twenty-five great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren, and countless people she considered family members.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.  Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025 in the funeral home with Dr. Sam Kaunley officiating.  Burial will follow in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.
