Margaret “Elaine” Carter, age 76, of Seligman, Missouri passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025.
She was born September 9, 1948 in Hamburg, Arkansas the daughter of Wesley and Elizabeth (Martin) Walters, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were a son, Tracy Carter and five brothers, Billy Walters, Lonnie Walters, Sammie Walters, Ronnie Walters, and Jerry Walters.
Surviving are two sons, Richard Carter of Seligman, Missouri and Tony Carter and his wife Rhonda of Rogers, Arkansas; two brothers, Johnny Walters and his wife Rita of Fountain Hill, Arkansas and Thomas Walters and his wife Sharon of Martinville, Arkansas; two sisters, Treasa Pilgrim and her husband Tommy of Hamburg, Arkansas and Kathy Barfield and her husband Jim of Martinville, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Sadie Cothron of El Dorado, Arkansas and four great grandchildren, Evalynn, Bailee, Grayson and Bernadette.
Elaine grew up and attended school in Hamburg, Arkansas graduating from Hamburg High School. She worked for Superior Wheel Manufacturing for 5 years. She was very strong willed and strong minded. Elaine adored her dogs and could often be found painting. She found comfort in bird watching and enjoyed listening to music. Elaine always enjoyed tending her garden, and she delighted in a good find at flea markets and yard sales. Above all, Elaine loved her family deeply. She was a member of Martinville Baptist Church in Hamburg.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 28, 2025 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Brother Tony Ball will conduct the services. Burial will be at Seligman Cemetery in Seligman, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time Friday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
