Marie Maxine (Austin) Carmical Perkins McGlauchlen

Marie Maxine (Austin) Carmical Perkins McGlauchlen was born May 11, 1942 in Cedarcreek, Missouri to Olan Austin and Hazel (Keylon) Austin.

She entered into heaven on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 6:00 AM at her daughter’s home in Dixon, MO at the age of 79.

Maxine married Bob Carmical in 1960 and was widowed in 1973.  She and Bob were blessed with two daughters, Dorlisa and Paula.  In 1976, she married Col. Perkins and was widowed in 1986.  She was blessed with a third marriage to Sam McGlauchlen and was later widowed in 2012.

Maxine moved to Branson in 1973 and has resided here since that time.  She loved working at Shepherd of the Hills in the play where she started as a square dancer and later played Aunt Molly.  She also had worked at Roark Resort and Quik Mart.  Maxine loved being around people and never met a stranger.  She had a huge heart and let you know you were special and loved. She enjoyed working in her yard and flower beds.  Her greatest joy was her family, spending time with them and watching the great-grandchilden grow up.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents and husbands; one brother, EC Hensley and two sisters, Gladys Groves and Jean Johnson.

She leaves behind two daughters, Dorlisa Rogers & husband Johnnie of Kirbyville, Paula Fenton & husband Tom of Dixon, MO; one nephew Larry Carmical that was like a son; two granddaughters, Echo Reschke & husband Mike of Bergman, AR, Crystal Schwyhart & husband Buck of Hollister; two grandsons, Jade Carmical and Kason Carmical of Dixon; great-granddaughters, Harley & Dixie Turner of Bergman, great-grandsons, Daylan & Logan Schwyhart of Hollister; sisters, Jane Hopkins of Galena, MO and Rosie Williams & husband Danny of Kissee Mills, MO.  Maxine is also survived by Dorlisa & Paula’s sister, Karla Sbanotto & husband Bob of Tontitown, AR; granddaughter Tiffany Wiseley of Springdale, AR and great-grandsons, Bradon and Grayson.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening, November 30, 2021 from 6:00 – 7:30 PM in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 1 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor David Koenig officiating and burial following in Blue Eye Cemetery, Blue Eye, MO.
