Mary Alice Moreland, age 74, of Cassville, Missouri

           Mary Alice Moreland, age 74, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Cassville Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Cassville, Missouri.

            She was born March 29, 1949 in Washburn, Missouri the daughter of Virgil and Jewel (Laney) Robbins. On May 21, 1985 in Texas she was united in marriage to Rusty Moreland who preceded her in death on April 4, 2022. Also preceding her in death were her parents; her first husband, Errol Long and a brother, Albert “Rob” Robbins.

            Surviving are one daughter, Nancy Bishop and her husband Johnny of Cassville, Missouri; one stepson, Casey Moreland and his wife Shannon of Texas; two stepdaughters, Tammy Fleming of Texas and Corena Thompson and her husband Craig of Texas; one brother Herbert Robbins and his wife Pat of Exeter, Missouri; one brother-in-law, Ronny Moreland and his wife Kay of Texas; one sister, Lucille Day of Cassville, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Carol Robbins of California and Sherry Perkins of Texas; one grandchild, Shon Bishop and his wife Heather of Cassville, Missouri; thirteen step grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, Noah, William and Elizabeth and eight step great-grandchildren.

            Mary grew up and attended school in Washburn, Missouri. She was employed by Justin Boot in the cutting department for five years. After she and Rusty were married, they moved to Texas where she owned and operated a seamstress business called Stitch-n-Fit. Mary moved back to Cassville in 2022 after Rusty passed away. She enjoyed quilting, reading, watching movies and fly fishing.

            Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter, Missouri, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Shon Bishop will conduct the services.

            Contributions may be made to Fair Haven Children’s Home or Ronald McDonald House in memory of Mary.
