Mary Jo Whiteside, 78 of Harrison, Arkansas.
Mary Jo Whiteside, 78 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away on September 30, 2024, at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born on January 20, 1946, in Grants, New Mexico, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Scyrkels) Massey.
Mary and Charles (Frank) were married on December 15, 1961, they would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary this year. They moved to Arkansas in 1972 and made it their forever home. Mary worked as a loan officer for many years, retiring to take care of her granddaughter and then her great granddaughter. Mary loved spending time with her family, especially her great granddaughter, Isabella. She liked visiting with friends. Also, Mary enjoyed cooking and shopping. Isabella said her great grandmother loved hugs and kisses, primarily from her. She was a member of the Lone Star Faith Full Gospel Church.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and 3 sisters, Jessie Darby, Robert Darby, Johnny Darby, Lloyd Massey, David Massey, Virgina Phillips, Lucille Law and Winnie “Pauline” Branch. Also, a sister-in-law Rosetta Whiteside.
Mary is survived by her husband Charles (Frank) of the home, their daughter Tahnee Jo Walker and son-in-law Richard (Ricky) Walker, a granddaughter Tashay Rochelle Edwards, a great granddaughter Isabella Faith Edwards, a sister-in-law Moetta Whiteside all of Harrison, Arkansas and one sister LaVerne Porter of Grants, New Mexico.
A funeral service is scheduled for Friday October 4, 2024, 10:00AM at the Lone Star Faith Full Gospel Church in Bergman, Arkansas, with Tollie Sutterfield officiating.
Pallbearers are Richard (Ricky) Walker, Aaron Collins, Collin Eaton, Will Earnhart, Neil Earnhart and Dustin Phifer. Honorary pallbearers Dr. Rosenfeld, Dr. Hightower, Highlands Oncology Staff, Dr. Langston, Dr. Sorg, Staff at NARCM, Randy Golloher and members of the Lone Star Faith Full Gospel Church.
