Beloved sister, aunt, mother, and grandmother, Mary Lee Edds, passed away at her home in El Dorado Springs, MO on Monday, February 17, 2025 at the age of 77.
Born Mary Lee Bynum on June 1, 1947 in Branson, MO, Mary was the daughter of Kellie and Beatrice Bynum. She married Donald Allenby Edds on May 15, 1976 in Branson, MO. She was a devoted wife and caring mother to their three sons.
Mary had worked for the Branson Laundry and Garment Factory and retired from a long career with Skaggs Hospital working in dietary, laundry, and housekeeping.
She was a woman of great faith. She served many years at First Assembly of God Church in Branson, MO and then was a member at Hilltop Church of God in Kirbyville, MO. After moving to El Dorado Springs, MO to stay with family, she began attending First Baptist Church in El Dorado Springs, MO.
Mary’s faith shown in her great love and care of people. She had many friends who she enjoyed staying in contact with. She enjoyed the outdoors and fishing as well as quiet time reading a book or coloring. She also spent restful moments watching westerns with her dog Star.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Kellie and Beatrice Bynum and her husband Donald Edds.
She will be deeply missed by her sister Alice Ice of Willard, MO, brother Bill Bynum of Branson, MO, sons, Allen Edds (Pam) of Branson, MO, John Edds of Branson, MO, and Phillip Edds (Nicole) of El Dorado Springs, MO along with her ten grandchildren, extended family and many friends.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at 12:30 p.m. at Hilltop Church of God in Kirbyville, MO and Sunday, March 9, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in El Dorado Springs, MO.
Cremation arrangements were in the care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
