Michael Bangert, age 72, Blue Eye, Missouri

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Bangert, a devoted husband to Julie, loving father to Jeremy and Tammy. Michael, age 72, peacefully left this world after battling pulmonary fibrosis on January 15, 2024.

Mike dedicated his entire career to Younglove Construction, where his hard work and dedication left an indelible mark. He worked and traveled through the United States. Upon retirement, he and Julie found their forever home in Blue Eye, Missouri, surrounded by the tranquility of nature. He loved his Twin Island community. He volunteered on the Board and Beautification Committee. He took great pleasure working his garden and sharing his bounty.

In celebrating Michael’s life, let us remember the warmth he brought to our hearts and the love that continues to resonate in the cherished moments shared with family and friends. He will be dearly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Michael was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Bangert; parents: Philip and Patricia (North) Bangert; brother, Bruce Bangert; brother, Brian Bangert; granddaughter, Allison Elisabeth; and brother-in-law, John Menke.

He is survived by his loving wife, Julie (Sanders) Bangert; daughter, Tammy Barnett; sister, Phyllis Menke; sister-in-law, Mona Bangert; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Synthia (Sanders) and Larry Hanson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Dale and Cathy Sanders; and sister-in-law, Carol (Sanders) Cox.
