Michael Phillip Rose, 65, of Branson, MO.
Michael Phillip Rose, 65, of Branson, MO, passed away on November 15, 2024. Beloved husband to Melanie (Spencer) Rose. Loving father of Michael J. Rose, stepdaughter, Jennifer (Rob) Black. Fond brother of James (Donna) Rose, Susan (Phil) Piscitello, and Carol (John) Cowley. Proud grandfather of Christian, Spencer, and Logan Black. Mike was a favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Jim Rose and his beloved mother, Irene (Kiviranta) Rose.
Mike was born in the summer of 1959; grew up in Mentor, Ohio, and as a teenager in Hoffman Estates, IL. Mike received a bachelor’s degree in communications and media studies from Northern Illinois University in 1984. Mikes entire career was in Press Breaks; he was the National Sales Manager for Finn-Power, USA; Pacific Press; and Ursviken, USA.
Mike lived his life to the very fullest and he would always help someone in need. In his free time Mike enjoyed traveling and boating on the lakes and oceans, and he loved to play guitar for family and friends; Mike had a ‘John Denver-esq’ kind of voice and played his guitars with ease and love for the craft. It was beautiful to slow down and listen to his gift of song.
Mike spent the last eight years of his life living with Alzheimer’s disease. He fought a long hard battle, and he always kept his contagious Mike Rose smile and laugher; his optimism and his spirit always outshined the bad days. While our hearts mourn this great loss, we must take comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering - he is perfect and whole again.
In honor of his final wishes Mikes’s cremains will be sprinkled during a Celebration of Life at Rincon Beach, aka Scotty’s Beach, in Ventura, California, on Sunday, March 30th. Please join us if you are able. Cremation is under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks. To leave an online condolence or a memory, please visit www.cremationsoftheozarks.com.
