Mike England, of Exeter, MO.
Mike England, of Exeter, MO, fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, until he went to be with the Lord on January 19, 2025.
Mike and Jeanie Sue Love were married and spent nearly 51 years side by side raising 2 children, Zack and Alexandrea, and operating several businesses including Mike’s Amusements, event catering, rental properties and chicken farming.
Mike supported his community in many ways. He enjoyed seeing the excitement on the faces of those who experienced his amusement rides, especially at the Wheaton Barbeque where he knew so many personally. He and Jeanie provided jobs to numerous people over the years, and he enjoyed mentoring young people as he taught them the importance of a strong work ethic, general life skills and most importantly, about their Savior, Jesus Christ.
Mike was a great witness for Christ to his family and community. He was passionate about being the hands and feet of Jesus to anyone who would let him. He took his responsibility of serving on the Board of Directors for The Gathering Tabernacle and the Ridge Top Bible Camp very seriously. Mike shared many times that God had given him dreams and visions of His plans for both ministries and how they would be used to share the love of Jesus, disciple Christians, and honor God by growing His Kingdom. Mike also spoke often about the urgent need for unity in the body of Christ in order to honor God and experience all that Jesus provided for us at the cross.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, George and Coleen (McCullah) England, a brother, Allen England and sister-in-law, Jan England, a sister-in-law, Pat McGuffey and her husband Butch McGuffey; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Betty Sue and Gene Love and a brother-in-law, Donnie Love.
Mike’s legacy will continue through his wife, Jeanie, his son, Zack and wife Sarah of Overland Park, Kansas, his daughter, Alexandrea and Tommy Parker of Wheaton, Missouri, his grandchildren, Faith, Rayvin and Azalea, his sister and husband, Beverly and Charles Light, his sister-in-law, Lea Love of Phoenix, Arizona, sisters-in-law and husbands, June and Virgil Carter of Rocky Comfort, Missouri, Judy and Jim Carter of Kansas City, Missouri, as well as his nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and all of God’s children who are Mike’s brothers and sisters in Christ, that are still with us.
There will be a celebration of Mike’s life at the Ridge Top Bible Camp in Exeter, Missouri on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Pastor Gary Culp and Pastor Dan Goostree will conduct the service. The Gathering Tabernacle will provide a fellowship lunch in the dining hall after the celebration service at the chapel.
Cremation arrangements are under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
Instead of flowers the family request contributions be made to the Ridge Top Bible Camp Restoration Fund in memory of Mike.
