Morris Dale “Bud” Lowe, age 87, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Mercy Hospital Cassville in Cassville, Missouri.
He was born on February 27, 1935 in Cassville, Missouri the son of Harve and Fannie (Nafus) Lowe. On January 25, 1957 at Oak Ridge, he was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Ennis, his wife of fifty-eight years, who preceded him in death on September 28, 2015. On April 17, 2016 in Warsaw, Missouri he was united in marriage to Esther Shinn, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Mike Lowe and his wife Carleen of Exeter, Missouri; two daughters, Diana Lyons and her husband Les of Cassville, Missouri and Karen Shuey and her husband Dale of Purdy, Missouri; two stepsons, Robert Shinn and his wife Sherry of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and Chris Shinn and his wife Christine of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; two stepdaughters, Jonna Moulder and her husband Kenneth of Knob Noster, Missouri and Jennifer Shinn of Murrieta, California; one brother, Pard Lowe and his wife Lois of Cassville, Missouri; one sister, Alma Beeson of Cassville, Missouri; eight grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; six step grandchildren and eight step great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, Mary Lowe; five brothers, Lewis Lowe, Herman Lowe, J.B. Lowe, Loren Lowe and Hollis Lowe and two sisters, Mary Elliot and Betty Tucker.
Bud grew up and attended school in Cassville, Missouri, graduating from Cassville High School in 1953. Between his junior and senior years of high school he traveled with the wheat harvest. After graduation he moved to Kansas City, Missouri where he was employed by the Kansas City Board of Education. Joining the United States Army, he served from July 12, 1954 until May 24, 1956 during the Korean War. After returning to Kansas City, he met his first wife Mary at the Barry County Reunion that was held in Swope Park. He enjoyed working on and restoring old cars, yardwork, gardening and fishing. Bud owned Lowe Construction and had built a tremendous number of homes and businesses in Barry County and the surrounding area. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Cassville. Nothing was more important to Bud than his family.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 24, 2022 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Lee Beck and Reverend Lawrence Shuey will conduct the services. Burial with military honors will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. Sunday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
