 
                            Nathan “Rick” Ricky Turk, age 71, of Springfield, Missouri.
Nathan “Rick” Ricky Turk, age 71, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away August 27, 2024, in Springfield, Missouri. He entered this world December 31, 1952, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Arthur and Gay (Hobson) Turk.
Rick proudly served our country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era. He was a truck driver for more than 15 years under the call sign Night Rider. He loved every moment of it. He later worked as an aerial and grounds man for Schatz Underground. Before retiring, he drove a school bus for SPS for more than 6 years. Rick had a passion for guns, hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He was known as a great man who was always there to help those in need and a man who dearly loved his family. You knew he liked you when he was a “Smart A$$” to you, and he expected it in return. He was loved by many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Rick is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Bob Turk and Butch Turk.
Rick is survived by Rhonda (daughter) and Andrew Stemm and two granddaughters: Jillian and Temperance all of Springfield, Missouri. As well as many friends and loved ones.
There will be a celebration of life September 8, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Courageous Church North, 2848 N Broadway Ave., Springfield, Missouri 65803. Interment will be September 9, 2024, in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S Southwood Rd, Springfield, Missouri at 10:00 a.m. with full honors.
