
Orville Conrad...
Orville Conrad was born on April 11, 1938 in Arkansas City, KS to Carol & Alma Conrad. He graduated high school in Broken Arrow, OK in 1957 and entered the United States Navy. He worked as an aviation mechanic with the Navy, stationed in Korea. After his military duty, Orville attended Tulsa Business College and earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. He was mechanically minded which served him well working in quality control with Baldor Motor, an engine manufacturer in Westville, OK.
In the late 1990s, Orville moved to Missouri after visiting family in Southwest Missouri and falling in love with the area. Orville worked at Silver Dollar City and you could find him keeping the park beautiful or playing his harmonica entertaining visitors.
Orville was a devoted member of Faith and Wisdom Church in Branson. He was active in both serving and working at church in custodial maintenance and safety and security. He had also taken the gospel on mission trips to Mexico.
Orville passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon at the age of 87.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carol and Alma and siblings, Donald, Della, Phyllis and Howard.
Orville is survived by his sons, John Conrad and Wesley Conrad; sisters, Lois Burkholder and Anne Jordan; special friends, Roger and Terri Woods, his loving church family and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Orville’s life will be held at Faith and Wisdom Church on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 10:00 am.
Cremation arrangements were in the care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
