It is with great sadness that the family of Ralph “Gene” Eugene Anstaett announces his passing. Gene, age 80, passed away peacefully at his home in Cassville, Missouri on June 17, 2023.
Gene was born November 23, 1942 in Independence, Missouri the son of Duane “Red” Adams and Maxine Adams. He was preceded in death by his father Duane, his mother Maxine, and sister Rosa Bussard. Surviving his death are wife Linda Anstaett (Stringer), sons Duane Anstaett (Julie Barnett) and Danny Anstaett (wife Kelly), daughters Jene Ziegler (husband Kevin) and Ashley Anstaett (Ben Lockwood), and his brother David Anstaett (wife Jean). He is also survived by eight (8) grandchildren and four (4) great grandchildren.
Gene was a veteran of the US Navy, electrician and machinist extraordinaire by trade, and electrical engineer by education. Being quite an entrepreneur, he worked all over the world in a wide variety of businesses, from high tech surveillance systems to complex machining and even running a successful NASCAR team.
Gene loved his work and his play. When he wasn’t at work you could find him on the road traveling to visit with his children and grandchildren to enjoy the food and sights in their different cities. At home, he loved spending time with Linda’s brothers going fishing, working on cars, or running errands for anyone who needed something. He was widely considered one of the most caring, kindest, and considerate people you would ever meet. Always busy taking care of others close to him as well as complete strangers in need. He absolutely loved the time he spent with his wife and Linda’s siblings, especially their vacations to Anna Maria Island, Florida.
