Reba Nell Keeter, age 84, of Branson, Missouri.
Reba Nell Keeter, age 84, of Branson, Missouri, passed away on August 15, 2022. She entered this life on April 9, 1938, in Limestone, Arkansas.
Reba graduated from Harrison High School in 1955. She was joined in marriage to Howell Keeter from 1961 to 1982. Reba lived in Pine Bluff until moving to Point Lookout, where Howell took a position at then School of the Ozarks. Reba attained a Bachelor’s of Art degree in English, Summa cum laude, at Schools of Ozarks, and later graduate studies in English at Missouri State University.
She is survived by sister, Sharon Martin of Katy, Texas; nieces: Shirley Lamar, Carla Giles, and Tamara Pharr, Alice Terwega; and nephew, Tim Fowler. Phillip L. Carman, her longtime friend and partner is devastated by her passing.
Reba loved the natural world of trees and rocks, creeks and tadpoles, birds. She was happiest when surrounded by nature, by her flowers and plants. And she loved children, though had none of her own.
Due to a long illness she was unable travel as she desired.
She was a book lover, an avid reader and collector of literature. A witty, humorous person, Reba was also highly intelligent.
Reba will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
