Reverend James E. Stewart II of Cassville, Missouri went to be with his Lord Jesus December 15, 2021.
James is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janell (Lee) Stewart and one son Robert "Dru" Stewart, his father's pride and joy, who resides in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
James is also survived by his very loving and close-knit family including his brother Scot W. Stewart and his wife Bonita of Longville, Louisiana. One sister, Darlene Creasman and her husband Michael of Lake Charles, Louisiana. His loving mother-in-law, Barbara Lee of Cassville, and sister-in-law and brother-in law Valarie and Phil Hutchens of Cassville, plus a whole host of loving nieces and nephews and cousins whom he loved dearly.
James was born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana in 1954 to James Eldridge Stewart and Lelia Irene (Platt) Stewart who precedes him in death.
James moved to Cassville with his family and completed his high school education as a senior at Cassville High School graduating with the class of 1973.
James was a bi-vocational pastor/minister. He retired from Pre-formed Line Products in Rogers, Arkansas, where he was employed as an Industrial Design Engineer. He retired from Pre-formed with a warm place in his heart for the company, its leadership and people, with honorable mention of then plant manager, Bill Sutton of Rogers, Arkansas, who is still very special to him.
James served many years on the Northwest Arkansas Workforce Investment Board and the Northwest Arkansas Workforce Development Board. He was part of the Northwest Technical Institute and served on other various educational and curriculum boards in Northwest Arkansas throughout the years.
James's first love and greatest desire was preaching and sharing the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He served as pastor of Mission Baptist Church in Washburn, Missouri, Pastor of Corinth Baptist Church, Cassville and Faith Family Church, Cassville. At the time of his death he served as a lay-pastor at Community Faith Chapel in Cassville with honorable mention to its Pastor Rick Cooper, who has been a friend of many years to James.
James loved people and was never ashamed to share Jesus with them no matter where he was. He leaves behind a host of people whose lives were touched by his love for them.
He will be greatly missed on this earth.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Community Faith Chapel in Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Evangelist Ron Mills, Pastor Rick Cooper, Pastor Paul Wahlert and Reverend Ron Black will conduct the services.
