Richard Carroll Hazell, age 82, Branson, Missouri
Richard Carroll Hazell, age 82, passed away January 21, 2024, with family by his side at home in Branson, Missouri. He entered this life on August 11, 1941, the son of Vernon and Magdalene (Scobee) Hazell in Branson, Missouri. Richard was joined in marriage on August 6, 1960, to Delores Jean Beltz.
With a zest for the outdoors, Richard enjoyed fishing, golfing, and playing baseball. He was the pitcher for the Branson High School baseball team. Richard was a talented carpenter; during his working years he used his skills to build houses, and in his later years he spent his time creating items out of wood. Richard loved his family and was a wonderful son, brother, father, and grandpa, but most of all loved his Lord and Savior. The memories and moments created over the past eight-two years will be cherished forever.
Richard is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Delores Hazell of Branson, Missouri; children: Denny (Katy) Hazell of Nixa, Missouri, Kim (John) White of Blue Eye, Missouri, and Gary (Pam) Hazell of Ridgedale, Missouri; five grandchildren: Ashley (Michael) Stocker, Tyler Goss, Casey (Rachael) Goss, Dalyn (Karah) Hazell, and Caden (Corynn) Hazell; and five great-grandchildren: Owen and Evan Stocker, Jettelyn Goss, Vera, and Valen Hazell.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Vernon and Magdalene Hazell; and sisters: Judy Bledsoe and Debbie Reed.
