Richard “Dick” Casas, age 76, of Blue Eye, Missouri.
Richard “Dick” Casas, age 76, of Blue Eye, Missouri, went home to be with the Lord July 20, 2022, after a short illness. He entered this life August 25, 1945, in Monterey, California, the son of Louie and Dora (Burlesci) Casas.
A person of great faith, Richard was known as a man of God who loved prayer and Bible study. He was an usher and worked security for his local church to help protect the others in attendance. He loved his family and would do anything to help a friend. While quick to laugh or cry with you, Richard was a great listener. In his younger years, he worked in the grocery industry and still loved to food shop. In his later years, Richard owned and operated a successful moving and storage business until his retirement. In his free time, he could be found fishing, golfing, eating at his favorite restaurants, playing pinball, shuffling cards, and shooting pool. Richard was a much-loved husband, father, Nanu/Papa, uncle, brother, and friend. He has left a legacy to inspire others and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Linda Casas; second wife, Mary Casas; and two sons: Stephen and Charlie Casas.
He is survived by his daughter, Tara Casas and husband Thomas Toloy; three stepsons: Vince Bruno, John Bruno and wife Christina, and Christopher Bruno; sister, Christine and Dennis Byrum; and many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren nephews, nieces and extended family.
A celebration of life will be at a later time at Morning Side Church. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.cremationsoftheozarks.com.
