Ronald Derry, 85.
Beloved husband and father, Ronald Derry, entered into rest on November 16, 2024 at the age of 85.
Ron was born in Holton, Kansas on April 3, 1939 to Lyle & Myrtle Derry. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran. He lived many years in San Diego, CA where he worked as a gardener with the San Diego Zoo and retired from Henry Equipment where he worked in construction and was a member of Teamster Local 36. He also owned and operated his own trucking business.
On October 18, 1982, Ron married his loving wife Marjorie in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. They moved to Hollister 29 years ago from San Diego.
After moving to Hollister, Ron volunteered with the Taney County, Hollister and Branson Fire Departments. He worshipped with the family of believers at First Baptist Church in Branson.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Derry of Hollister; daughter, Ronda Fuentes; son, Ray Derry; step-son Norman Shooter; his sisters, Marty Weeks, Sandra Reichmuth and Paula Evans; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Myrtle and siblings, Donny, Becky, GG, Ester, Rose and Linda.
Cremation was in the care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
