Sammy Jack Sinclair, age 75, Branson, Missouri
Sammy Jack Sinclair, unbiased charmer, adventurous outdoorsman, affable father, and lover of life, died on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.
Sammy to some, Jack to others, born to Thomas and Avis Sinclair on August 3, 1947, in North Texas, loved camping anywhere, Little Debbie's, sitting on the porch, Sweetarts, and drinking beer. Not necessarily in that order. He was a master craftsman, who not only used his hands on such things as the Alaskan Pipeline and the Railroad, but single handedly built one of his homes from the ground up. Jack excelled at fixing everything, creating anything, loving all, and never meeting a stranger. He judged only for judging and his acceptance was more than enough to pay it forward. He could make anyone smile and mean it.
Jack was a lover of all living: the exuberant foliage and flower, the practical insect and its predators, the loyalty of a pet, the passion of a woman, and the convivial laugh of a child. He was trusted by all and honest to a fault. He was strong and soft, firm and kind, empathetic and loyal, but most of all he was a friend.
But more than life and living it, Jack loved his family. When he decided to go on his next adventure, he left behind his daughter, Samantha Gayle Carroll; son, Samuel John Sinclair; sister, Bobbie Jackson; mother of his children and friend, Sharon Cummings; his four grandkids: Sydne Smith, Aubre McMichael, Preston Carroll, and Christopher Sinclair; and 6 delightful great grandkids: Aria, Harrison, Sawyer, Bostyn, Wesley, and Parker.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that to honor Jack, you voice your concerns with your congressman, and you vote in the next election. He was a strong believer in democracy, but only one selected by the people. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
