Steven Karl Corbin, aged 71, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023 in Spokane, MO.
Born on July 4, 1952, in Batavia, NY, he was the fourth of five children born to John and Ione Corbin. He lived in the Branson-Hollister area throughout his childhood and youth. He attended Hollister and Branson schools. He enlisted in the Navy in the 1970's as a Navionics technician.
For the past 30+ years, he lived in southern California, following his passions of hang gliding and airplanes. He designed, patented and manufactured the “Sling Wing."
He came back to Spokane to spend his remaining months with family. In his final days, he spent his days with his brother Bob, Bob's wife Debbie, his niece Suzanne Belveal and his friend Frank Nivins.
Steve was preceded in death by Diane Parker, his life partner for the past 25 years, as well as his parents John and Ione, his brother John, and his sister Linda Allen-Tawes.
He is survived by his brother and sister in law, Bob and Debbie Corbin of Spokane, his brother Alan Douglas Corbin of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, his niece Suzanne Belveal (Ed) of Spokane, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
The family is indebted to Integrity Hospice, especially Amy, Lee and Monica, for their care and friendship in these final months.
A small celebration of remembrance is being planned.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
