Suzette Ann Sperry

Suzette Ann Sperry, 81, of Harrison, Arkansas.

Suzette Ann Sperry, 81, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away at Cox Hospital in Branson, Missouri, on March 12, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born on April 14, 1943, in Madison, Wisconsin, the daughter of Paul and June (Johnson) LePere.

Suzette loved the Lord and her church family. She has been a member of the Ozark Baptist Church over 20 years. She enjoyed arts and crafts, especially painting. The family described her as having the “best laugh” around. Suzette was known by her grandkids as Gramma Oozie and by her caregiver as Mama Bear. Her family was her world, she loved them deeply and they loved her. Suzette liked singing, thrift store shopping with friends, watching sunsets and planting flowers. She had many great friends and appreciated the times spent together. Suzette lost her husband Don, 12 years ago but they had the privilege of being married for 52 years.

Suzette is preceded in death by her late husband Don Sperry and her parents. She is survived by her two daughters Tammy (Gene) Jones and Lynn (David) Hancock, her brother Pierre (Marlys) LePere, five grandchildren Mitchell (Stefanee) Gahlbeck, Nick (Kayla) Gahlbeck, Donavan Hancock, Sarah (William) Moore and Ben Hancock. Also, Suzette leaves behind her five great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends, including her church family.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Friday March 21, 2025, 11:00AM, at Ozark Baptist Church located in Bergman, Arkansas. The address is 7754 Hwy 7 North, Harrison, Arkansas. Pastor Daniel Clement will be the officiant at the service. Following the celebration, friends and family are invited to lunch at the church. A special thanks goes out to Joy, Suzette’s caregiver. Joy not only took care of her, but she was a family friend and thought of Suzette as her adopted mother and Suzette’s daughters refer to her as their adopted sister.

Whether you knew her as Mom, Suzette, Suzie, Sue, Grandma, Gramma Oozie or Mama Bear; she will be missed by all that loved her.

Cremation arrangements are under the care of Diamond State Cremation in Lead Hill, Arkansas. Condolences may be left at www.DiamondStateCremation.com.
