
Terry Dale Pyles, age 72, of Cassville, Missouri.
Terry Dale Pyles, age 72, of Cassville, Missouri passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
He was born on August 20, 1952, in Batesville, Arkansas the son of Carlos Dale and Thelma Mae (Smith) Pyles. On April 30, 1981 in Exeter, Missouri he was united in marriage to Janis Davis, who survives. Also surviving are his mother, Thelma Mae of Springfield, Missouri; two sons, Paul Pyles and his wife Alexandria of Cassville, Missouri and James Pyles of Cassville, Missouri; two daughters, Brandy Pyles of Carl Junction, Missouri and Haley Robertson and her husband Kirk of Carl Junction, Missouri; one brother, Dwight Pyles of Carthage, Missouri; one sister, Cathy Hall and her husband Don of Springfield, Missouri; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild, all of whom will miss him dearly.
Preceding him in death were his father, Carlos Dale Pyles; brother, Jerry Pyles; sister-in-law, Faye Pyles and brother-in-law, Bob Pyle.
Terry grew up in Carthage, Missouri and was a graduate of Carthage High School, class of 1970. He moved to Cassville in the early 80’s and was supervisor at WinTech for many years. Terry became a member of Victory Baptist Church in Cassville, where he served for many years. In January of 2024, Terry answered a higher call to start preaching at First Baptist Church in Butterfield, Missouri. His passion for sharing the message of love and hope resonated with the congregation, and in April of the same year, he was voted in as the pastor. A man of many talents and interests, Terry's passion for music knew no bounds. He played nearly every instrument and was a familiar face in numerous local bands. He particularly enjoyed the sounds of bluegrass music. Terry’s love for old cars and driving trucks was matched only by his fondness for tomatoes. Above all, his love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 27, 2025 at Victory Baptist Church in Cassville, Missouri under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Russell Bishop will conduct the services. Burial will be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time Monday at Victory Baptist Church.
