Thelma May Valbracht, age 89, of Branson, Missouri
Thelma May Valbracht, age 89, of Branson, Missouri, passed away November 1, 2023. She entered this life January 8, 1934, the daughter of Awald and Helen (Harper) Raasch in DeWitt, Missouri. Thelma was joined in marriage to James “Bill” William Valbracht.
Thelma, or “T” as she was lovingly known by her family, earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri. She believed in good food with good conversation. “T” entertained and fed many friends and family with homemade dishes created with love. At home, she loved listening to music from the 1940s, especially Andy Williams, who sent her Christmas and birthday cards every year. Thelma enjoyed life at the lake and growing beautiful flower gardens. She was a member of the Garden Club and League of Women Voters. She touched many lives with her family holding a spot in her heart that was above everything else. She cherished her time with them, and they will cherish the memories and treasure the legacy she created for generations to come.
Thelma is survived by her son, Steven Valbracht of Gainesville, Missouri; grandchildren: Christal Valbracht of Branson, Missouri, Sandra Johnson and husband, Brett of Ozark, Missouri, and William Valbracht and wife, Nicki of Forsyth, Missouri; six great-grandchildren: Alex Edwards, Christopher Edwards, Olivia Johnson, Avery Edwards, Nicholas Edwards, and Taylor Valbracht; siblings: Lilly Audsley, Louise Fecher, and Harold Raasch; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, James “Bill” William Valbracht.
