Trevor Hale, age 49, Blue Eye, Missouri
Cherished husband, father, gramps and friend, Trevor Hale, passed away suddenly at his home in Blue Eye on November 10, 2023.
Trevor was born on December 7, 1973 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He spent his early childhood in Tulsa and later moved to Blue Eye, attending school there and graduating from Blue Eye High School where he excelled in both academics and athletics. He started on a pre-med track at College of the Ozarks while also working as a paramedic. His work in the medical and emergency medical services became his vocational focus. He worked for both Skaggs Hospital and the Taney County Ambulance District using not just his hands-on-skills, but also academic aptitude doing studies focused on the heart and his teaching talents training fellow EMTs and serving as Educational Director for TCAD. Trevor was integral in community outreach as part of the ambulance district and loved interaction with the community being at the Wednesday McDonald’s Mornings or PSAs on the Vacation Channel. He was a huge advocate for EMTs and spent some of his time in Jefferson City working on their behalf. He had also been nationally recognized in Washington, DC for his accomplishments developing a program for the American Heart Association. His care for helping people was a calling that extended beyond his work in emergency services as was evident in his role as one of the founding organizers of the first Relay for Life in Branson. He also graciously served at his church, Our Lady of the Lake, as a Eucharist minister.
Trevor had suffered a life event that left him paralyzed physically but it did not immobilize his spirit, mind and love for life or others. His family was his greatest accomplishment and joy. He was extremely proud of his children. The closeness of his family and the love they shared was a gift highly treasured. He will be missed beyond what words can express.
Trevor leaves behind his high school sweetheart and wife of thirty-two years, Dawn Hale of Blue Eye; his son, Cameron Hale & wife Breanna of Blue Eye and their two children, Grayson and Isabella; his daughter, Sabrina Duvall & husband Austin of Blue Eye, their daughter Quinn and Trevor’s soon to be born, fourth grandchild; and honorary son, Cody Watson of Blue Eye who Trevor considered to be one of his own children. Also surviving are Trevor’s mother, April Williams of Shell Knob; his in-laws, Gary & Kathy Ponder of Ridgedale and his beloved service dog, Sammy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mitchell DeZeeuw and brother-in-law, Josh Ponder.
Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Branson on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will precede the service and begin at 10:00 AM in the church.
