Virginia Ellen Lee, age 94, of Monett, Missouri.

Virginia Ellen Lee, age 94, of Monett, Missouri passed away Monday August 8, 2022 at Lacoba Nursing Home in Monett, Missouri.

She was born April 19, 1928 in Exeter, Missouri the daughter of Truman Ray and Neomi Ruth (Messer) Cole. On August 25, 1945 in Exeter, Missouri she was united in marriage to Donald Lee, who preceded her in death on December 11, 1992. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Jacky Lee and one grandchild, Christopher.

Surviving are one son, Garry Lee and his wife Wilda of Exeter, Missouri; one daughter, Karla Sue Coatney and her husband Ted of Monett, Missouri; one daughter-in-law, Cheryl Lee of Exeter, Missouri; two sisters, Nadine Elder of Dallas Texas and Pauline Jones of Joplin, Missouri; six grandchildren, Brian, Kellie, Wesley, Travis, Dusty and Mandy; thirteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

Virginia attended elementary school at Union Valley Elementary and high school at Rocky Comfort. She lived most of her life in Exeter, Missouri moving to Cassville in 1997. Virginia was active in the Cassville Senior Citizens Center and worked for a few years in the lunchroom for the Cassville school system. She loved to bowl, cook, work in her garden and play dominoes and bingo. Virginia loved her family but most of all she loved her grandkids.  She was a member of Exeter Church of Christ.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Lowell Thomas will conduct the services. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

Contributions may be made to Fair Haven Children’s Home in memory of Virginia.
