Virginia Lee Amos, age 93.
Virginia Lee Amos, age 93, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Dorset Place Memory Care in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She was born July 20, 1931 in Barry County, Missouri the daughter of Lloyd John and Georgia Virginia (Keeling) Linebarger. On March 7, 1954 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma she was united in marriage to William Franklin “Bill” Amos, who preceded her in death on January 12, 2019. Also preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Mabel Ruth Linebarger and brothers, John Earl Linebarger and Carl Dean Linebarger.
Surviving are one son Brent Amos and his wife Sheila of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two daughters, Karla Kuklaw and her husband Curtiss of Cassville, Missouri and Cheryl Reichman and her husband Jonathan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Virginia grew up in Butterfield, Missouri graduating from the Butterfield School System, later attending beauty college. She was a beautician for over 30 years before retiring. After both Virginia and Bill retired, they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. She then moved to Oklahoma City after Bill passed away. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, making photo books, cooking, making her own bread, and especially loved gardening. Virginia was a member of Woodland Acres Baptist Church in Tulsa.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Butterfield, Missouri, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Rev. Jonathan C. Reichman will conduct the service.
