William “Bill” Eugene Rich, age 68, of Forsyth, Missouri.
William “Bill” Eugene Rich, age 68, of Forsyth, Missouri, passed away March 27, 2022, after a battle with cancer. He entered this life June 14, 1953, in Torrance, California, the son of Gary Maxwell and Kathleen Carter.
A man of many talents, Bill played drums at many events in numerous bands over the years. He also had a great green thumb, bringing to life, plants once thought lifeless. Bill worked tirelessly to improve the grounds that he cared for. He first worked in a foundry doing metal casting for fifteen years and then discovered his talent with plants, working for more than 24 years in landscaping and grounds both in Missouri and Florida. Bill loved his family and cherished the times invested with them. He is greatly missed.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents; dad, Robert Almond Rich; mother, Kathlyn Rich; wife, Vickie Lynn Rich; brother, Roger Erwin; and mother-in-law, Darlene Burke; and father, Gary Maxwell.
Bill is survived by his four children: Jennifer (Eric) Bisick of Georgia, William (Linda) Rich of Springfield, Missouri, Tina Zito of Forsyth, Missouri, and stepdaughter, Monica (Mike) Hewet of Florida; ten grandchildren: Zack, Kayla, Alexia, Logan, Ava, Lydia, Andrew, Henry, Caleb, and Chase; sister, Kathy (Barry) Markham of Forsyth, Missouri; his two brothers: Robert (Camillia) Rich II of Forsyth, Missouri, and Gary Maxwell of California; and father-in-law, Ronald Burke of Winthrop, Iowa.
A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday April 9, 2022, at Forsyth United Methodist Church, 14399 US Hwy. 160, Forsyth, Missouri, with Pastor Mike Hargraves officiating.
