Yvonne Swofford, age 84, of Monett, Missouri passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Mercy Hospital Springfield in Springfield, Missouri.
She was born April 30, 1938 in Gridley, California the daughter of Charles and Iva (Morris) Hudson. On September 13, 1955 in Miami, Oklahoma she was united in marriage to Dewey W. Swofford, who preceded her in death on April 6, 2015. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one son, David Kim Swofford; one grandson, Dewey Lee Swofford and nine siblings.
Surviving are one daughter, Gail Pierce of Monett, Missouri; five grandchildren, Melissa Swofford, Jennifer Stubblefield, Joseph Swofford, Jerry Pierce and Samantha Pierce; four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Yvonne attended school in Cassville. She lived in the Wheaton, Missouri area most of her life and was a homemaker. She enjoyed her dogs, riding horses, singing, dancing, gambling and loved to have a good time. Yvonne was an avid book reader, always having a good book in her spare time. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Wheaton.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Monday, August 29, 2022 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
